Good find. At some point you have to get under center when you get close to the goaline, that's the only problem that I see with the formation. Florida can run a goaline out of shotgun because they stack the backfield with backs in front of Tebow, but being spread out like they are in the video, I just think that they have to get under center or bunch 'em up close to the goaline.

Texas Tech doesn't use a "goal line" either.

What they do with this offense is exploit the "numbering exception" rule that exists in high school football on punt formation plays. By going out of punt formation, they can have linemen without jersey numbers 50-79 so it confuses the defense as to who is/isnt eligible. We touched on it very very very briefly at out June officials meeting but I got the feeling there has been some interest in this offense in New York state. I'm sure I'll here more when we resume meetings in 1-2 weeks. I got the impression from the rules interpreter that at some point there would be rules changes related to this. Again, I havent spent but a few seconds looking at it, but I'm sure I'll get to know it better soon.

I heard of this before and while it's legal at the high school level in certain states, I believe it is against NCAA rules.

yeh it saying at the end that it will be the norm in 50-100 yrs makes me laugh. Its a creative idea to exploit the rules to make a bad team decent.
