Rocket Catches!!!

I'm sick of them, I had a guy play with Ohio State and he caught like 10 passes using rocket catches.

I just had to vent.

A rocket catch is where a receiver is sent on fade route, the ball is thrown by the QB, that receiver is then user controlled, and turns back to face the ball. The user presses Y and the receiver jumps straight up in the air (like a basketball player) and catches the pass.

It's when your or the cpu's character model skips animations to speed up and make a catch.

That's my understanding of how it works anyway......

So its a user catch on a deep ball?

It's more affective then spec catching, the guy turns around and jumps straight up.

ecantona has it right except you can do a rocket catch from a lot more routes.
