I didn't see it mentioned but keep in mind that the demo is VARSITY level, and that any sort of test comparing the demo and full game need to be done on that level for it to mean anything.

And, for you guys who haven't seen the way varsity plays in the full game, you might be in for a surprise...

The comparisons were between varsity level in both games. The blocking, return AI, and FG strength are definitely different between the demo and the retail version, even on varsity. It seems likely that the pursuit angles are fine in the demo, since there were no complaints about it when the demo was out and I didn't see any issues in 10-15 demo games. However, it's possible that for some other reason apart from player speed, it happens less likely. And speed can't be judged directly without replays in the demo...it just seems like the separation between LBs and WRs is smaller.

I really don't think it's bait and switch. It really seems like a design decision made by someone higher-up, late in the design process, that didn't account for all the problems it would cause.

I agree, i think the Demo plays more realistically than retail. Especially the pancake blocks. I cant understand why you create a situation where at least 1 d-line player has to get pancaked every pass play? It does not happen in real life!
