Is the LOS a part of the Pass Rush Issue?

Has anyone ever did what they thought was jump off-sides, only to realize that you weren't flagged for it?

I've often wondered what was going on when that happened in 09 and as i challenged countless calls where it appeared i had gained a yard marker that i wasn't credited for i asked myself.

Does the game know where the ball and line of scrimmage are?

To me it appears as though the defense lines up about a half yard away from where they had relative to the line of scrimmage in previous games.

Thoughts?
