Think of it like temperature.
Blue = cold (IE. bad)
yellow = warm
red = hot (IE. playing very well)
pulsing red = on fire (EA calls it "in the zone"). This is the best you can do and if that player makes a big play (IE. scores a TD) he increases the ability of the players on the field with him too.

True. May be the reason for robo qb.

Interesting you say that. When I disrupt a few passes and force the CPU to throw an INT the QB accuracy begins to suck for awhile...Then he will get the one lucky TD pass then start dominating.
