40 times breakdown

How would some of you breakdown 40 times?Starting with a guy that runs a 4.2 being a 99 speed as I've never heard anything faster then 4.2,there probably is though.What would a guy that runs a 4.3 or 4.4 and on down the lines speed be rated?Would it carry over from position to position meaning a WR that runs a 4.4 40 would his speed be the same a a DB,LB or QB,RB that ran the same time,Like a universal rating for speeds based on 40 times across the board.how much do you take off for 100ths like 4.47 vs 4.4 or so on?

i've seen 4.18, that's the lowest i believe.. and that equates to 99 speed.

I would be interested in seeing how fast a guy really runs the 40 inside the game... like if you had a stop watch and timed him on the screen on a long run. Would be interested to see how closely it equates to the actual real physics of what they are said to run.

4.16 is the fastest....but not all players equal the same speed cuz this years game takes into account a formula which contains SPD, AGI and ACC.

4.16 equals 99 speed but if he has a bad ACC, then a guy with 95 speed could be faster. Its EA's new formula for their "breakaway speed".

Here are 2 points to give you an idea:

4.16 (A+) 99 speed
4.24 (A) 95 speed
4.35 (Top end of B+) 90 speed

I keep those 2 points in my head for recruiting guys.

I usually follow this when creating a CAP

4.2 - 99
4.3 - 95
4.4 - 90
4.5 - 85
4.6 - 80
4.7 - 75
4.8 - 70 and so on

IF they have a time in between the two (4.45, etc) i'll put it in between. Pretty much I'm giving my best guess with the info I have.

I'm not sure if this carries over to ncaa but speed is exponential this year. So a 99 is a lot faster than a 98, but a 90 isn't that much faster than an 89.?

if ur referring 40 times to real life, they mean crap all. totally unrealistic measurement of game speed. you can tell a guy is fast by how he plays, 40's are overrated.

This is what I use to convert 40 times etc. into actual stats. It is for the ps2, and is what I used last year, but the stats/ratings don't seem to have changed.

You'd have to see if it is the same for 360/ps3.
