Home Field Advantage in Conf-Championship?

Why is home field advantage active in conference championship games. I just played in the SEC Chamionship in my OD and because I was technically the away team, I had to deal with HFA the entire game.

The SEC Championship is played in the Georgia Dome and ticket sales are split between the teams, why on earth would HFA apply!

I think it's the same in bowl games too, even though you can see that the crowd is split down the middle.

The thing that irks me the most about this is that this'll count as a "home loss" for the "home" team and can ruin some really nice home winning streaks (I've seen Florida and Oklahoma have 20+ game home win steaks snapped due to a bowl game or conference championship game loss as the "home" team).

it also counts against/for your home win streak/record as well.

so if your the home team in the conference championship and lose, it will show up as a loss in the toughest places to play list, if you were on it.

bowl games from what i can tell doesn't count for home win/loss. but the crowd will mostly cheer for the "home" team.

You could just turn it off in the menu for those games.

You could turn it off but you should not have to. EA lack of attention to detail I suppose.
