Statistics from NCAA.Org

Everyone needs to check out his sight. Just so you are aware, BC led the nation with INT's this year with 25, Miami was the low with 4! The average was 12. Man I wish EA sports understood the game of football.

Texas led the nation with 43 sacks, CSU had 9. The average was 23.

You can find nearly every stat you need there.

Just to clarify, he's talking about passes intercepted by the team.

I originally thought you were talking about interceptions thrown but that sounded unlikely since I knew that Marve threw 3 interceptions alone against UCF. So I looked up the stat on that site to make sure. Cool find!

So basically we should average 1 INT a game and 2 sacks per game.

I'll have to check my user stats. I think both myself and the cpu average about 1.5 or 1.6 INTs per game. Not sure about my sacks.

mine is around 1.2-1.5 Ints/game for me and the CPU, and thats with the campus legend games i played as a WR where my CPU controlled QB threw 4 Ints a game.

Yeah defensive. The QB rating and average per pass was intriguing as well.

Because we watch Sportscenter and highlights, and I think this is EA's major problem it appears that there are a ton of long plays. There really aren't that many plays over 30 yards in real life. If you get 25 in a year, you are elite status.

14 runs over 20 yards led the NCAA for an individual.

These big plays are rare and should be game changing events, but in NCAA they are commonplace.

I used that site to build my roster during the season, create the Defensive Run/Pass and Defensive Aggression sliders, and use it to verify my CPU/CPU sliders. The best part of the site is the team rankings in basically every stat category.

I brought up a similar thing related to the sim engine to an EA dev over at NCAAStrategies.

The Yards Per Carry in simmed games is absurdly high and bad quarterbacks never have a terrible season in this game. The worst QB performances you will see in this game usually have a 1:1 TD/INT ratio while in real life there are plenty of bad QB's with 4 INTs per TD.

The entire game from head to toe was created to be arcade mode.

Absolutely! Real football is not one big play after another. It's about driving the length of the field, wearing down the defense and popping an occassional big play. In real football, if a RB averages 5 yards per carry, he is a good back, running behind a good line. If a team averages 4.3 yards per carry, they have a good running game. In this game, those stats would be considered average. I will admit, college football (in real life) does have "inflated" stats when compared to the NFL, but EA takes that to an unrealistic level. Of course, most gamers (not all gamers) probably prefer a ESPN-type "highlight" experience over an actual "grind it out" football simulation anyway.
