major Online Dynasty bug with Transfers

One of my fellow Online Dynasty players was victimized by this last season, he said that he had persuaded his potential transfers to stay, but then after offseason recruiting was over, they had transferred after all. Said it really screwed him because he didn't account for any transfers when doing his recruiting. He lost his Heisman-winning freshman RB with 98 speed among others. Of course, we didn't believe him that his players had actually told him that they were going to stay.

But we went through the next season and then when we got to transfers again, he figured out why it happened. If you persuade your potential transfers, back out to dynasty headquarters, and then go back into players transferring, they will still show as persuaded, no problem. But if you persuade your potential transfers, back out of offseason schedule, back out of dynasty headquarters, exit the online dynasty, then load the online dynasty again, and go back to players transferring, they will be reset to their original transferring state where you have to persuade them again! Stupid me, even I had successfully persuaded my 3 potential transfers to stay, I had to go and test this out. Sadly it was true.

IMO this is a severe enough bug that it requires a patch.

You're wrong, because I spent 5 minutes of checking threads before posting, and didn't see it. And I read threads here from time to time and have never seen it. Good for you for being in your 7th season of OD and being in the know. We are pretty new to OD.

I'm not surprised it's old news, though. Have they said whether they will patch it?

yeah, this is one of the biggest non-gameplay issues that ruins online dynasty. I REALLY hope they fix this for 2010.

I'm the commish of my dynasty and I'm dealing with this RIGHT NOW. I converted the OD to a offline dynasty but it only allows me to talk my players back into staying. It won't let me talk to the other players. It says I need to control that team to persuade the player. How do I take control of the other user teams?

Thanks very any help. I'm sure others can benefit from this info.

In a multi-user offline dynasty, press Y (Triangle on PS3) to bring up the team roster breakdown chart, then use LB and RB (I'm guessing L1 and R1 on PS3) to change the active team. Press Y (Triangle) again to back out of this screen as the currently selected team.
