Quick question (crowd noise)

Would a 16,000 seat dome in the game be louder than a 25,000 seat outdoor stadium.

Does the game factor in things like this?

Re: Quick question (crowd noise)

I don't think it factors those things - and speaking to my experience, the answer to the first part is no.

Although I've never been in a stadium that small, I can say that I've never been anywhere as loud as (The lower # equals the louder the stadium):
4) Bryant-Denny Stadium (Bama)
3) Neyland Stadium (Tennessee)
2) The Swamp (Florida)
1) Death Valley (LSU)

It's ridiculously loud in those places.

Any dome I've been in was no where near the sheer volume of those places. Granted, there aren't as many people, but the indoor environment seems to quiet people down.

No, I'm pretty sure the outdoor one has more noise. I was at the SEC Championship...wasnt as loud as Clemson vs Duke on their homecoming.

But I take that back...Cuz the championship game was equally numbered with fans of both teams so i dunno.

You should be able to hear a pin drop in the Kibbie Dome at any time no matter what's going on in there.

Re: Quick question (crowd noise)

The loudest I've ever heard a stadium was when Louisville was playing USF this year. On the last couple of drives the place was rockin. You could "feel" the place shake. It was crazy.

I assume that's how loud it gets at places like LSU and The Swamp at almost every game.

In game I don't think it matters. I think it improves the higher you get in the Top25 Toughest Places to play however. I really wish that list would move during the season.

Yes. But "played" might be giving me a bit too much credit. Heh.
