Help with Pass D

How do you stop the cpu's slant and curl routes?

I try to jam to stop curls but it never helps. And on curls my dbs stand there like idiots no matter what their awr is. I get the occasional jumped ball but thats it. Even the lowest rated qbs make quick reads. Im tired of having 85+ rated defenders at every position and guys that are faster than wrs and hbs but continuing to get beat on the same 2 plays. Its ridiculous. Zone or man the cpu will hit the slants and curls almost like clockwork

Re: Help with Pass D

i usually run a man coverage with a qb spy and i jam the recievers.
i get beat somtimes but i can hold em for the most part,

the cpu rarely goes deep, so i only have 1 safety deep, i control the FS and either i cover the RB, TE or i hang around the middle of the field and cover the slants and deep in routes.

the QB spy does a good job of covering the crossing routes.

Re: Help with Pass D

anything you do your DB's are still going to act like they have no clue whats going on. I really hope that 2010 has a big defense make over.

You're not the only one.. Minus the turnovers that plagued '08, though.

NCAA is a little to ''wide open.''

Re: Help with Pass D

I just read that you were talking about the CPU. My bad. that is the cure for Users running those routes.

Call a quarters man contain or whatever (where there are 3 Safeties deep and everyone else is in man coverage..its on first page in quarter) audible oline so the DEs arent running contain routes(helps get pressure). coverage audible - show blitz and shift safeties in. the split second after you jump the snap - flick the right thumbstick up. this should work well against any CPU pass play.
