You gain interest for every player on your board even if you don't call them. Fill your board to 35 and actively monitor who deserves your time for calls instead of losing 15-20 potential prospects. What's really important is weeding out uninterested prospects from your board as soon as it is obvious that you can't catch up to the other schools on their list.
