Yes it would - the problem is the CPU won't do this. The other issue is that you would just be sitting there for a long time watching the play clock go down.

The issue is that you could now play 7-9 minute quarters and get good stats, meaning number of plays, etc., if you played it pretty straight, meaning called the play, came to the line and snapped it.

The issue comes in the 4th, and you have the lead by 2 scores and got the ball to start quarter. You could then really slow it down, get 3-4 first downs and essentially run out the clock. Again the CPU won't do this.

This was less important previously, IMO, for NCAA with the 25 second play clock than the NFL's 40 second clock. Now it is just as important for NCAA with the 40 second clock.
