I preorder to pay it off in installments...just seems simpler to me.

Our local Gamestop ships our games the day they are released when you pre-order.

Oh yeah. Sometimes you get lucky and get a game a day early. (Did that for Oblivion).

I personally preorder so I can pay the game off over the time leading up to the release, rather than dropping $60 all at once.

Paying in increments is simpler than dropping three $20 bills and a couple extra dollars for sales tax on the counter to buy the game? I do not follow.

haha yea its def not simpler since you are paying multiple times instead of just doing it at once but he prob meant its better to just pay a little money at a time so you dont have to save up the full amount so for people on a budget it makes more sense to just do $5 a week or $10 every other week or whatever so the game is essentially payed off by the time the game comes out. I might consider doing this but i got a lot of expenses for the rest of this month & June so i'll prob end up just paying it all at once.

Preorder from Gamestop, and you'll get a code with your game at release to enter to unlock the 13 extra slots.

Re: What's the Point of Pre-Ordering?

Well some of us actually enjoy going to midnight releases. Around here, getting Madden at midnight has basically become a neighborhood tradition. I've actually made friends while waiting in line with like-minded individuals who share the same passion for gaming that I do.

I think the most memorable "Midnight Madness" for me was the night that GTA:San Andreas was scheduled to release. The line was atleast 300 people deep so while we were waiting in line the DJ stopped playing club-hits and just turned on a beat. Then he said he would give away free copies of the game to anyone that came up and sang or rapped for the crowd. So like five us got on the mic and free-styled for about 20minutes...that's the closest I ever came to putting on a show .
