i do it for the midnight release.
i get off work around midnight, so i leave work and on the way home pick the game up so i can play it in the morning. works out well for me...

i also like to pay installments.

If you do business with gamestop its a big deal to pre-order. If you go to a Wal-Mart or Target, Best Buy, you shouldn't have much trouble getting the game you want.

Gamestop is a pain in the arse. I cant stand that company.

Re: What's the Point of Pre-Ordering?

I just traded a bunch of games in to EB Games and used it to buy NCAA '10 as a pre-order. I don't pay tax (13% here) through the trading scenario. I have no clue though if I get the extra 13 slots for Teambuilder though. That might be a US exclusive offer. I don't care about the 13 slots anyways.
