NHL 09: I don't get it?

EA Canada makes great games like the NHL and FIFA series.
EA Tiburon manages to **** the bed on games like NCAA and Henry Hatsworth in the Puzzling Adventure.

That could be what it is. For my money NHL 09 was the EA Sports GOY in the 09 title season. I didn't play FIFA though.

i bought NHL 09 but i didnt think it was anything great, not near the praise it gets, so i ended up selling it back.

since we're off topic of NCAA, i saw that Batman game, that thing looks really good, and its cool that you can play as the Joker.

Not only did NHL and FIFA have great presentation, but they fixed the gameplay bugs and tried to bring them closer to a sim experience.

Not only was NHL 09 EA's GOY, but I would argue that it is one of their top titles of all time. Anyone that is even a mild hockey fan will appreciate the gameplay. It is flat out addicting, and is the first hockey game I've ever played where you can't go from red line to red line, and don't get excited when your team is shorthanded, just to get a shorthanded goal. I'm with another poster in here, I haven't touched NCAA since I got NHL. That will change in July, however.
