I actually pick the multiple D option (which I know some will gasp at) for my offline games. I like the oppotunity to run a hybrid, and multiple D gives me multiple looks (no pun intended).

I prefer the 3-4 because it's easier to find LB than D-linemen. When going to the nickel I like the 4-2-5 and the 2-4-5. I like the 46 as a run stuffer. The old 5-2 is a nice change of pace, too. When getting backed up close to my own goal line I like the 4-4. The 4-3 is for Madden.
