Lack of defensive line pressure

Figured I might as well start this thread as it appears that d-line pressure is way lacking once again this year. I don't need to play a demo I can tell by watching how long it takes for players to get off blocks. I am not here to bash EA, however there was a community uproar about the lack off a pass rush last year and it looks like little has been done to fix this. If you want to make a great football game you need to start with OL/DL interaction and this has been neglected once again. The sentance above says it all, because I simply do not believe EA cares about making this game what it could be. QB' s do not have 6 seconds to sit in the pocket, hopefully you guys will get working on a DL patch your gonna need it.

Cheers

Re: Lack of defensive line pressure

It's sad when the d-line gets no pressure even when the o-line turns and faces the QB!

Eureaka I think. lol After watcing all of the videos madden and Ncaa I think the problem is they have the same OL/DL. While madden gamplay speed is at a slower pace Ncaa is very fast. The problem is the OL/DL is built for maddens slow gameplay speed. Thus resulting in everyone moving fast on the field except for the lineman. As a result there is no pressure Just De getting pushed around.

Re: Lack of defensive line pressure

The videos tell the tale on this issue.

Nothing has been done to fix last year's pass rush issue.

Oh..sure..there are new animations. So now instead of being suction blocked for 10 seconds each snap..the D line gets to be pushed around by all new animations for 10 seconds.

EA just doesn't get it...with no real threat from the defensive line...it is IMPOSSIBLE to play solid D.

A full year of screaming our heads off about this issue..and nothing seems to be done about it.

They spend time on Season freaking showdown..a "major feature" that has ZERO impact on any...ANY!...actual gameplay or game feature...and spend zero time creating a worthwhile defensive line presence.

Frustrating...totally frustrating.

My biggest problem with this series by far.

Too bad they won't even acknowledge this.

Re: Lack of defensive line pressure

Am I missing something. I could sware I can get pressure in ncaa 09. And I play on Heisman as well. Some people most have a tuff time getting pressure. But I find getting pressure in 09 good. I don't know about the rest of you. But I can't wait until the demo comes out this week.
