Regarding NCAA 10
I've been reading what has been going on for the last month or so, and I finally felt that I had to make an account here just to make a comment.
I'm 22 years old and I have many responsibilities including paying bills and saving every penny I can for my family, especially my kid's future. That said, Video games is the one area where I allow myself to spend any money on entertainment, even though I only buy about 4 games a year. Being a person who has played NCAA and Madden together since 2000 or so, those are my top two choices. My favorite thing is playing dynasties and importing draft classes. I'm very VERY disappointed at this generation's entries.
EA seems to think that everyone that plays video games just enjoys throwing money at them. I don't. I'm forced with the decision of a) not buying these games, which I've done for 10 years, and give more entertainment for my dollar than anything else or b) buying the games anyway and just feeling ripped off.
I don't have internet, so I can't get the patches or rosters. Being a HUGE football fan, the players is what I play the game for. Not to mention that the gameplay seems to be very weak. Everyone keeps saying make a patch for that, or a patch is coming for this, but again, I can't get patches.
The point of this post isn't to whine about a game not being perfect. It's just to say that bottom line is that EA is putting out a game that doesn't even deserve to be called a half-assed effort. They can pretend that their solutions are easy, but for me they're not, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. I just wanted to show another demographic that EA seems to forget about.
Anyway, I'm sure my 130 dollars won't make EA broke, so this won't matter, and I won't be like other people who think them not buying the game will matter. I'm just upset that I've waited like 6 months for some new entertainment and now I won't get it. Thanks for reading my venting.
