I chose the Horned Frogs bc they have had the most success since the SWC broke up (selecting between them, Baylor, Houston, Rice and SMU). My first question is who do you guys think is a better pick Baylor or TCU, or even one of the other three I did not choose?

On the placement of FCS teams, I just cant bring myself to boot Duke out of the ACC (for reasons listed below). I am thinking AppState to CUSA, Montana to WAC, Georgia Southern to Sun Belt, and Youngstown State to MAC. What do you guys think?

My goal with this is to better balance the conferences, but pick schools being realigned by historical tie-ins, geography and real life plausibility of it happening. About the only one that sticks out as not being a plausible placement is Tulane to the SEC, but that is one of the historical moves along with Georgia Tech since both were members of the SEC back when it was originally formed.
once you finalize your conference, post them up. i'm very interested because i like your idea.

Ya I agree with you. But like you said its not enough of a problem for me to ignore. I mean I have been moving teams in dynasty for a while now and just been ignoring the logos. It wont be hard to ignore them another year.

Adam had said that the tech they use for the bowl endzone art can be used to change the conference logos on field and uni. But its a lot of work to get those logos to the point that they could get it to work. Hopefully on 2011 it will be able to happen.

Re: Conference Re-Alignment

I'm gonna stick my created university in the WAC most likely...since I don't want to play in San Jose State's generic stadium, I am going to stick San Jose State in the Mountain West and bring in one of those, probably San Diego State since they don't make as much sense in the Mountain West to me. Louisiana Tech will be who my school replaces. They are going to get shipped over to CUSA where they geographically belong. Central Florida makes the least sense in CUSA to me, so I am demoting them to the Sun Belt, and Western Kentucky will get sent down to...wherever teams that no longer exist go.

Other possibility is that I go Independent. I move Notre Dame into the Big 10+1 because I don't want to disturb the Army-Navy schedules. The Irish replace Penn State, who get sent back to the Big East where they and Pittburgh will be forced to play eachother. South Florida makes no sense in there anyway. They get sent to the ACC where they'll replace Boston College, who makes minimal sense in the ACC, where they'll replace Louisville, who is getting sent back to CUSA, because the Big East is no longer working out for them post-Bobby Petrino. They'll replace Marshall who doesn't make all that much sense in CUSA. They'll replace Temple, who will disappear, because 1-A really hasn't been working out for them either and it's time to just let go.

Re: Conference Re-Alignment

If the game would allow it, I would go to ten conferences of 12 teams each. And since it's all make believe, we will have a playoff to decide the national champion. These 12 teams are broken down into 6 team divisions within each conference.

Re: Conference Re-Alignment

It won't let you change the numbers of teams in each conference unfortunately, so that idea isn't going to be possible...that and you can't kick random conferences out of the universe

In my inevitable 3rd dynasty, after one with my teambuilder team, and a one with current conferences, I think I am going to go with this alignment:

Pacific 10(Arizona, Arizona State and Washington State aren't really all that near the Pacific)
Washington
Oregon
Oregon State
California
Stanford
San Jose State
UCLA
Southern Cal
San Diego State
Hawaii

WAC(almost sort of regrettable that I am splitting up the Washington schools, but for the good of the universe, no one should have to see the Apple Cup until they get better)
Fresno State
Washington State
Idaho
Boise State
Nevada
UNLV
Utah
Utah State
Brigham Young

Mountain West(none of the 3 BCS schools I am demoting are really very good anyway)
Arizona
Arizona State
New Mexico
New Mexico State
Colorado
Colorado State
Air Force
Wyoming
Texas El Paso

Big 12
Texas
Texas A&M
Texas Christian
Texas Tech
North Texas
Baylor
Houston
Southern Methodist
Rice
Oklahoma
Oklahoma State
Tulsa

Big 10+1(Northern Illinois is a little out of place, we'll call them the +1)
Nebraska
Kansas
Kansas State
Minnesota
Wisconsin
Iowa
Iowa State
Missouri
Illinois
Northwestern
Northern Illinois

Sun Belt(it's sunny in Michigan and Indiana, right?)-Consider this a favor to Notre Dame and Michigan, they might be able to win in this conference where Michigan State and Ball State are the two best teams from a year ago
Michigan
Michigan State
Eastern Michigan
Central Michigan
Western Michigan
Indiana
Notre Dame
Purdue
Ball State

Big East
Boston College
Connecticut
Army
Rutgers
Temple
Navy
Maryland
Syracuse

Conference USA(the Ohio flag is all red, white and blue, just made me think of the USA...and we can keep Ohio State out of the title game by putting them in a lesser conference so that someone who might win one can have a chance. I would apologize to Virginia Tech, but they don't exactly have a stellar BCS record either)
Ohio
Ohio State
Miami Ohio
Cincinnati
Bowling Green
Kent State
Toledo
Akron
Marshall
West Virginia
Virginia
Virginia Tech

Atlantic Coast(Florida teams all together at last)
Florida
Florida Atlantic
Florida International
Florida State
South Florida
Central Florida
Miami Florida
Louisiana Lafayette
Louisiana Monroe
Louisiana State
Louisiana Tech
Tulane

Mid-American(it's about as 'middle' as the real one)
Mississippi
Mississippi State
Southern Mississippi
Alabama
Alabama Birmingham
Auburn
Troy
Arkansas
Arkansas State
Tennessee
Middle Tennessee State
Vanderbilt
Memphis

Southeast(sort of regrettable that Florida and Georgia aren't playing, but really, is that still a rivalry when it's so lopsided?)
Georgia
Georgia Tech
South Carolina
Clemson
North Carolina
North Carolina State
Duke
Wake Forest
East Carolina
Kentucky
Western Kentucky
Louisville

Independents(Penn State will go in Army's spot, and Pittsburgh in Navy's, forcing them to play every year. Buffalo will have the honor of having to play Southern Cal and half the Big 10 every year)
Penn State
Pittsburgh
Buffalo

Re: Conference Re-Alignment

I'm slightly confused. Is this conference realignment possible in 2010 version? If it is, it'd be damn cool IMO.

Or is this just a wish list?
