Question about offseason weight gain.

One thing that bothered me about last year's game was the 195 pound OLBs and FBs, and the 203 pound DEs, etc. It doesn't bother me that they are available to recruit, as many 195 pound high schoolers are recruited as LBs. However, those guys are put on weight gain regemins and are often 225 pounds or more by the time they are seniors. But in the game you'll be lucky if they are 210 after a RS season and 4 years after that. Even though the physics are wrong and weight really has no effect on the game at all, it's still bothersome to have LBs that are smaller than safeties. This hasn't been addressed I'm sure, since it's a small detail, but if anyone has heard anything about it, let me know. Guess we'll find out in 2 weeks anyway.

Re: Question about offseason weight gain.

Weight and Height never really had much effect to the Physics department in terms of NCAA 09, a 5'5 300lb player runs the same as a 6'10, 150lb player.

Also to add, this is one thing where I would love to hire positional coaches, especially Strength and Conditioning Coaches, mainly since my school has one of the premier S&C Coaches in the entire NCAA

Agree...I would also like to see this changed. Or allow for us to edit players heights and weights for offline dynasty so we can fix the WR that are 6'7 220 pounds like 99 speed and agility.

Coach Jay Butler is no slouch, just find pictures of Kevin Haslem Freshman year versus right now his Redshirt Senior year.

There is a reason why his molding of our OL, and then the coaching of Kyle Flood gave Rutgers one of the top OL units in the nation the last couple years...

Um no, but it's not like it's not relevant to the current discussion at hand.
