Then that is far from perfect. A sports game is completely worthless if the rosters are not right. And especially if they are screwed up this bad.

Any word if the PS2 will get a roster fix? If the rosters are the same for all systems and coming from the same template and file source, when they update the next gen rosters, it should update the PS2 rosters.

Any change in the framerate of the game, seemed as though 09 was a little herky-jerky, have then changed that at all?

Almost... he bought both current gen versions and the PSP version.

He has a few impressions of the latter in the other impressions thread.

PS2 wont get a roster fix but I have faith in MattUMD and KleShreen who will be doing the rosters.

Re: ***Official Impressions (PS2/PSP)***

Hey all, I do have the PSP version and the game plays much like how I remember PS2 version used to play (in other words, good). The game has player entrances and shows the top star of the team working out, etc. It seems from the single game I played (Michigan @ OSU) to be a very defensive oriented game but that could be because I suck at the controls comparative to the next-gen systems.

The biggest thing I noticed from Madden 08 (which is the only other football game I have on the PSP) is that there is very little loading time and there is none of that herki-jerkiness nonsense. The graphics look very good for the PSP although perhaps a bit too "clean" for my taste (and by that I mean very colorful but then I think i'm just used to the next-gen better graphics too heh). Control is spot on perfect IMO.

I do wish that the next-gen playbooks were in the PSP, for instance OSU has no Pony formation that the next-gen playbook for Ohio State does have. The playbooks are pretty basic overall. This game is a definite keeper though on first impressions and I plan to actually use my PSP a lot more now I think. The sucker had been collecting dust for the past year, LOL.
