Season Showdown

Do you have to be connected to the internet to earn points? My buddy is playing the CPU while I am on the internet and he is not receiving points? Kinda lame if you have to be connected 24/7 to earn points against the CPU.

Also how is the weekly showdown going to work? My team is Purdue and there is no way we can compete weekly against most of the Big Ten teams because there are not enough people playing online for Purdue. The system does not seem fair for smaller schools. Anyone have any information on if they are going to make it fairer or if the smaller schools are going to be screwed every week?

I was thinking they should handicap it a little. My thinking was if there were 600 fans for Purdue but 2,000 fans for say Ohio State, there is no way Purdue could ever defeat them in the Showdown. Whats the point of even trying? What is going to make us stay with this? I was thinking they could take like the top 600 players from Ohio State and use only there points against the other team. Match them up by the user base. I don't know just a thought.
