Strip Ball gets on my nerves

I just played an online game (Vanderbilt) and I played against Nebraska. I won 48-38, but I fumbled 7 times - that's right I said 7 times in the second half. 3 of those fumbles were returned for TD's. I outgained the guy by over 200 yards but had to score with 30 secs to go to ice the game. Now I know fumbles are part of the game but it seemed I was fumbling EVERY PLAY in the second half. That's unrealistic. Very unrealistic.

Were you breaking tackles and getting hit? Just catch the ball and get big hit? Agressive mode? We need details.

Re: Strip Ball gets on my nerves

They weren't all the same kind of fumble. A couple were big hits but most of them were the defender would wrap me up then strip the ball as we were on our way to the ground. It gets so I cringe every time im about to get hit because im afraid a fumble is coming. I need to start using the RB button more to secure the ball when I take a hit, especially in the 2nd half of games when I lead.

Cover up the ball and keep on doing so. When the face mask penalties mount, maybe he'll think twice about havign his stripped and big hit set to aggressive.

Agreed, I play on PS3, and whenever I'm running in traffic, or about to get tackled, I hold R1 (cover ball, or whatever it's called) and I have rarely fumbled that way.

My pet peeve is as soon as my receiver catches the ball, it gets stripped a lot and there is nothing I can do about that... I even have the Game Plan set to 'focus on the catch', and I still lose about 2 fumbles a game from this. Very dumb.

The gameplan feature allows for a conservative option for carrying the ball. If you use it you'll notice your players protecting the ball when the defenders are trying to strip you.

It works. Give it a shot.

Yeah it sucks. Not that care too much about my rank but I was in the top 100 until I had a few games where I fumbled late. The bad thing is they were tied games and I was basically setting up for the game winning FG. Both times they were returned for touchdowns!
