Competition is good. But I don't think that competition would make this franchise better in the short run. They are already competing for your money with other games from other genres. Conversely, I think it would take another developer a few years to get up to this point. EA would easily wax the competition for a few years.

Look at 2k Baseball. Competion by the Show hasn't made them any better. The Show wastes that game.

It would be nice to have an alternative but I just think the mistakes made by EA on this game wouldn't be corrected by competition. The sliders shipped broken after I'm sure they told some dude to make sure they get it right this year after last years fiasco. QA wouldn't magically start checking things like dynasty progression. QA doesn't check anything from what I can tell. Competition won't change the corporate culture.

Yeah, I mean we are all still playing that great college football game produced by the other companies from years past. Get over it.

2K baseball sucks, but you can't get the show for xbox, so not much help for competitiont there...
