Can it be done before starting a dynasty?

you can't rename them before a dynasty, you can rename them once you get into the regular season.

i believe you go here:
Dynasty setup > coach positions

I don't think you can. I looked but could not find anything. I did them after I started a dynasty. It took some time to do and now I'm not even going to use the dynasty. Good list on wikapedia. Search 2009 ncaa football coaches.

I wish they actually showed up more. I enjoy naming coaches as well. Would be nice if there was a carousel too

they get paid, so EA Sports should add them in the game. Have some fired, retired, quit, etc.

They could have fake Assistant names like in NBA 2K
