You also have to accept the fact that sometimes no matter what you call the defense will already be in the backfield by the time your HB gets the handoff.

The turbo thing is pretty key. If you're doing any kind of outside run especially, you want to wait to turbo until you find a hole. I'm not sure how good Arkansas's O-line is, either, but that can make all the difference. I'm able to run really well as BC thanks to the line. Running out of the I sets with the FB also really helps. I have a lot more success out of I-form than with just the RB in the backfield.

I am actually generally surprised at how the AI will adapt. If they start loading up the box, I switch out to a quick pass play, and after a couple of those, they start spreading out more again, which makes running easier.
