Height Determines Speed?

Me and my brother were playing NCAA Football 10 when i noticed that smaller guys move way faster than bigger players. My brother was LSU and i was California. Jahvid Best is the starting running back for Cal and he is 5-10 197lbs w/ 97 spd. My brother put in Trindon Holliday a 5-5 164lbs running back w/ 99 spd. I realize that Holliday's spd is 2 points higher but when Holliday got the ball he was shot out of a cannon every single time. Jahvid Best also seemed to move kind of slow. Does this happen to other people who play this game?

Re: Height Determines Speed?

What is the acceleration difference between the two players? That is probably a factor why one will "feel" faster out of the backfield.

It takes quite a while to get to top speed in this game I've noticed. It's very hard to take it to the house if a player has any kind of angle for you or even if you get behind the defense.

Ya as soon as I saw "shot out of a cannon" I thought "this is obviously about acceleration", since being "shot out of a cannon" is referring to acceleration, not speed.

Last game I played a small, 89 speed 90 acc. RB looked like he had 96+ speed. It was unreal.
