What are your thoughts on the movements of the player models?

What are your thoughts on player jukes and movements in general? Particularly the way players move when changing direction. The whole feeling of the game seems herky jerky and lacks fluidity. This next gen player movement makes the game feel arcadey. The game actually felt more like a sim last gen as far as player movement and footplanting was concerened.

Why did EA go in this direction with the player movement? Sometimes I replay stuff and I watch a guy do two or three jukes in a row on the wrong foot! It looks like a potential broken ankle every time and we're not talking about the ankle of the guy getting juked. I love watching replays of guys going deep and making catches. That looks beautiful, but it's agonizing to watch the players run after the catch. It's so unrealistic and we know this can be done better as it was better last gen. What gives EA?

I haven't played NCAA 10 enough yet to really comment on it, but footplanting was basically nonexistant in NCAA 09.

It's not much better now. Guys are still making sharp acute angled turns with little momentum and foot planting animations. It just feels so Bugs Bunny ish.

Hmmm, this is the first I've heard anyone mention having any problems with the way the players run in either NCAA or Madden.
