I'm playing with blocking set at 95 on varsity. Yes 95 for ME. And I still have plays where the whole Dline runs through.

Re: Blocking AI more realistic on varsity setting?

The blocking on this game is GARBAGE. TRASH. It's anything but 'realistic' regardless of the difficulty level. Regardless of the teams' skill levels. We're talking almost game breaker status here, for me. I don't get how this is supposed to be a simulation, or 'in the game'. At all. How can arguably the single most important aspect of REAL FOOTBALL not be replicated at least somewhat believably in what are supposed to be the best selling football sims? How are multiple defenders able to just slip right through your line without blitzing, or coming into contact with your offensive lineman at all? Why does this happen while they are turned back and watching? How is the defense seemingly able to perfectly time your snap on the majority of plays despite mixing up snap counts?

I think I am going to have to agree with those that say the blocking ai is terrible regardless of the difficulty setting. You can pick up yards rushing on certain plays but it is not the result of realistic blocking most of the time.

Re: Blocking AI more realistic on varsity setting?

i get sacked or knocked down at least 8 times per game, regardless of who i play against on top of the fact that my entire OL is 88+ OVR. most times, i have less than 2 seconds to pass even against a 4 man rush.

it gets really bad against 3-4 defenses.
