" The sights and sounds of Saturday"

The sights and sounds of saturday" my back of the box thoughts:

I will always laugh when I read the back of the box this year and it says the following: " featuring authenic band formations" which means in my interpretation, some various dots on the field moving in unison. Heres one, " New stadium chants" which sounds more like a girls softball game at my old highschool than a college football game. "Field Goal nets" yeah its a nice touch, but are they really just hanging there magically? This one tops them all though," dynamic stadium flags" Can we call the adjective police here for blatent missuse of the word "dynamic"? I never imagined that this would be a presentation element, I sincerely think this is hillarious and sad at the same time, which leaves me ambivalently numb when I think about it.

I will give creidt where credit is deserved so as to not appear biased and one sided. The uniform mix and match is a great feature, one of the few features I think adds real value to the replayability of the game. The stadiums are beautiful and thoughtfully detailed save a few errors here and there.

Overall though the back of box "Sights and Sounds of Saturday" is a sign of the wandering in the desert( or the Floridian promissed land) for 4 years that I believe is taking place with this current regime in Florida.

All I have to say is, anytime you're hanging your hat on field goal nets, flags, you're in trouble.

I just looked at the bkac of the '04 box, and it actually says, "wide-open gameplay" LOL

It appears the '04 meaning of wideopen gameplay was nothing like the '09 meaning.

3 of the 4 pics on the back of the '04 box are thing that we DON'T have in next-gen. One, it shows the OU guy cheerleaders firing off the cannon after a TD. Two, it shows the throwback uniforms(long sleeved) and helmets(one bar) of a Notre Dame player & a USC player Three, shows a Colorado QB pitching an option right before he get's creamed....that doesn't really work successfully in this game.

Hahahahha that's awesome.

It's even funnier that Texas Tech doesn't even have field goal nets but in the game they do. LOW'LL!

Guys, guys, guys, you don't see the beauty of the FG nets?

Sponsorship space. Next year the nets will have a big, annoying, Coke Zero logo on them. Or Snickers. Or whoever bids top dollar. Who knows? Maybe we can even buy net designs and have whatever we want (except blank or custom nets) in the game!!!

Re: " The sights and sounds of Saturday"

I couldn't agree with the OP more.

It's amazing to me that we're up to NCAA 2010 and Madden 2010 and having the crowd actually boo me again if I'm the away team and I make a big play against the home team is somehow supposed to be major progress forward with these titles.

These now current gen games are really lacking big time in the crowd reaction, ambience, and overall sound departments and it's just inexcuseable at this point.

If I'm the away team and I sack that home QB for 10 yards, I want my controller to shake and the ground to tremble with me being booed right out of the building with the hate I've earned from that home crowd.

Great call on the mix and match... this is hands down the BEST FEATURE they have added to next gen. If presentation and atmosphere get a Maddenesque overheaul and formation subs and fcs are back then I will be in football heaven for NCAA 11. However, what are the chances of seeing this?

Maybe it's time to call up VISUAL CONCEPTS and see if they want to get back into the football gaming business???

If we don't hear about some much needed personnel changes on the NCAA end...probably little to no chance.

Absolutely.
I would love to hear peter Moore's take on NCAA this year. When he doesn't like something he responds with an iron fist
