Impact Players Stepping Up

I just wanted to know if anyone finds there impact players stepping up in big games? For example I run with Ohio State and during the USC game my DE Thad Gibson stepped up huge and had three sacks, two forced fumbles, and was putting pressure on the QB all night. But in other games, he is just a good DE, not a beast. So then the Penn State game comes up, and again Thad Gibson has a huge game. 2 sacks, 1 forced fumble, and he was tackling everything that came his way. Not everyone of my impact players play that big, but it sure is nice when they do.

Re: Impact Players Stepping Up

I don't know about stepping up, but impact players definitely make their presence felt.

They break more tackles, get more sacks and picks, make more tackles, force more fumbles, etc.

I think impact players also get hot faster than non-impact players. This is especially noticeable with QBs.

You can see a difference, but not as much as NCAA 06. IMO Impact players were too over rated then
