It makes me laugh that both Jump the snap and the run commit both attempt to recreate Tecmo Bowl's correct play call. Maybe we should just go back to only using offensive plays.

So what? That can happen on any given play.

I'll make my point r e a l s l o w for you. Commit is supposed to be about risk/reward. The problem is that it is so over powered that there is minimal risk with very large reward.

The only difference between commit and Tecmo Bowl is that the players don't bounce off the screen. In both games if you guess right your players turn into supermen.

I agree with the original point of the author and your point as well. Tecmo Bowl first came to mind the first time I used run commit middle. It looks so silly and unrealistic, but as you say, in the late 80's and early 90's it was state of the art.

Just the simple fact that we are putting older games like Tecmo Bowl and current gen NCAA or NFL2K5 in the same breath as this game is not saying much for the EA Tiburon team. I'm sorry but this is just not a good representation of college football.

JTS & RC need to go, or at the very least have an on/off option!
