Celebrate with the Mascot

I kind of want to start focusing on certain things in the game, and just get a feel for what people think.. I know that the board isn't close to being as busy as it once was, but I think the ones here can offer up some good info.

So first topic: Celebrate w/the Mascot

Not that exciting or important aspect of the game, but still a part of it nonetheless. What should happen to it? I think the majority of this board would like to see the game become more sim style & this is just one of those things that seems like it doesn't belong.

A. Keep it as is with no penalty

B. Celebration results in 15-yard-penalty

C. Take it out completely

For me it has to be "B" with the penalty. I'm tempted to say "C" because I can't recall if I've ever seen this happen in a game where a player scores & starts dancing with the mascot.

Re: Celebrate with the Mascot

Gotta go with b or c. I like B the best. I remember you used to be able to show a lot of emotion with celebrations, but used to get 15 yard penalties for it, and I kinda miss that. I dont know why, but I just do. Well the only thing I dont miss about it is the funny glitch you could do if there was an interception I think with a pass interference call. If you were the one that got the PI you could hit rt trigger and y I think and instead of your player going up to the ref and complaining, the other team's would. That glitch was actually kinda funny, but frustrating.

I think they need to add more TD animations with multiple players. Most of the time when a team scores most of the players on the field are celebrating and almost always the QB will go congratulate whoever scores.
Thats another topic though.

I voted B.

Ebarws6, who runs the 4.48? You? Or you talking about Gerhart?

Re: Celebrate with the Mascot

I'd rather have it taken out, and have a team celebration with a few nearby players on a score. This way all teams have a good celebration after a TD. Most teams don't have a mascot in the game. honestly i don't use it with teams that do.

Ahh I see... i scrolled over the 4.48 part and not the "white boy" part and never noticed the link.
Yeah, Gerhart is a beast of a back and will lead the farm to a bowl game this year... jus sayin.

Re: Celebrate with the Mascot

I don't have a problem with this. Realistic or not it's fun for some people. I think this is a very minor issue at best. Just my opinion.

I'm 37, married and have two kids, and yes... I sometimes celebrate with my mascot.

(I think some of you guys need a better sense of humour).
