Is Hit Stick totally broken in this game or what

I swear when using Hit Stick my guys will just stumble, or not DELIVER the big hit, wtf is that about?

I LOVE Hit Stick in Madden, it works GREAT.

Am I crazy here? Does this happen to anyone else?

It works, but it sucks compared to Madden's
But, at least in NCAA you can juke away from it. In Madden the ball carrier is pretty much left helpless, and that's just unreal

Well hit stick is no guarantee tackle. You have to be close to the ball carrier, otherwise, yeah they will stumble and it sucks.
I rarely use hit stick because of the failure rate and the fact that the CPU seems to break those tackles all the time anyway, whats the point.

its not broken it shouldnt be used for every tackle though. I have had several instances where i shouldnt have used it and the tackles was missed entirely. So like every thing it must be used in moderation.

When I try it the CPU just breaks the tackle so I just regular tackle them.

I use it almost every time I tackle. Remember you press up to hit high and down to hit low.

All about timing and getting the proper angle.

Not trying to call you out or start anything, but I don't think there are any real pursuit angles in this game. Timing is the key however.

I don't use it at all as I don't find it is very well implemented in NCAA 10.

I use it but I never tackle anyone. Just shove them backwards a couple yards or out of bounds.

I think I've only successfully used it once so far in '10 where I actually got the little message, "User Big Hit". Other than that it just seems to make my guy lose his balance and stumble. It really is a timing thing.

I use it all the time and it works well for me. Nothing like chopping down a big back with a DB by hitting them low.

Agreed...still needs major improvements, but better than '09.

I use hit stick BECAUSE of its low success rate. Tackling has become suspect in all forms of football. Wrap-ups just dont happen like they used to. Everyone goes for the big hit, and almost everyone fails so thats why I use it.
