NCAA 2004 goes gold

All 3 versions are now going to manufacturing.

So if they stick to the 7/17 release date, that means there's a month leadtime between when development finishes and it hits the retailers.

It seemed like past games only took like a 2 week leadtime before it hit the shelves.

Could there be an earlier release, like a week or two earlier than what is currently projected? If they did release in early or even beginning of July, that would feel too early for football.

Linkage

It does seem like a long lead time in between gold and release. But I can't see what would puch them to release earlier than 7/17. They have the market to themselves.

"NCAA Football 2004 kicks off this season with a lot of momentum," said EA Vice President Chip Lange. "Last year, college fans pushed this franchise well over the million-unit mark--hundreds of thousands of copies more than the pro game of our next closest competitor. This year, we hope to repeat that victory with unique college gameplay and the ability to square off against your rivals online."

NCAA takes away from game

Has anyone heard that they are taking the tearin down the goalposts visual out of game. It is posted on IGN during and interview. I would have liked it in the game but there is so much other stuff that it wont make or break it.

goal post thread

that's a thread about it. I think the NCAA wouldn't let them put it in.
