Having trouble with Varsity. yep.

So I have owned this game for a couple months now and have been having frustrating problems being successful against the cpu. im thinking my football knowledge is lacking. i should note i play with KU so some problems are to be expected but come on. I can only get a few touchdowns up usually against a team around as good as my own, and often when the cpu gets into the 4th quarter losing I get killed by the short/mid pass game despite me telling the D to be ready for a pass play every down. I feel I give up too many yards against cpu runs also.

I ask corso for defense usually, offense I can run with moderate success. any suggestions?
