It's a lose-lose for them on things like this, I think. If they don't add them, the fans of the teams who's mascots aren't in the game are upset.

If they do add them, everyone complains that they should be working on something else that would add more to the game.

That is true, but when i play against teams that do have their mascot, and I do not, it takes away from the game. I know Syracuse does not have the biggest fan base in the world, but Otto the Orange is one of the most recognizable mascots in American sports.
