I am very hopeful that this years Prima Strategy Guide has player ratings. But, after some thought, I dont think it is possible. Here is why:

Last year in the 2003 Madden Strategy Guide, they had a section in the back with all the NFL players ratings (sorted by position). It was used to help a user with the draft feature in the game. They could fit in about 130 players per page and it took up about 15 pages. Now in NCAA Football, you have about 6000 players on the rosters. That would mean that you would have to dedicate about 45 pages of nothing but players numbers and ratings. The cost to print and publish an extra 45 pages could be significant.

Considering that the 2003 NCAA guide was 113 pages and the new guide (according to Primagames.com ) will be about the same number of pages, it is looking doubtful that the 2004 guide will have the ratings---Unless, they change the entire format of the guide compared to last years version.

On a strange note, this morning I noticed that primagames.com no longer has any listing for the 2004 Strategy Guide. They used to have it listed in the “Coming soon” section. A quick search on the website showed no listing for the 2004 guide at all. Strange, it was there yesterday.

it didnt have ratings last year, infact it was really a waste of time and money

I wasn't expecting it to since there are too many names and last years didnt either.

VG Sports is going have well over two hundred pages. Plus, since it's an e-book, there is no cost to add forty-five pages of player ratings. It very well may have them. I'll let you know.

i know the Prima guide--if they do have player ratings--wont have names. The thing is that Prima will have their guide out BEFORE the game is released. When will VG release their info?

Nope I found the NCAA Strategy Guide a good read while "dropping my kids off at the lake". I will buy it again this year. It didn't have individual player ratings last year but it had position player ratings.
