NCAA 2004 feature: What is a sideline tackle?

I was reading the PR for NCAA 2004 and it mentioned that they now have sideline tackles. Can someone tell me what this is. Also they say the have over the shoulder and basket catches. Didn't they already have an over shoulder catch on NCAA 2003? I'm sure I saw it several times.

Re: NCAA 2004 feature: What is a sideline tackle?

remember how on the last game if you ran up to tackle someone and they were bordering the sideline how they just kinda were bumped out? Well... I think now a "sideline tackle" means that the defense will still clober the hell out of the guy with the ball to knock him out of bounds. Or perhaps I'm wrong, this is how I interpert it anyway.

Another little thing EA is using to make this game all that much better.... ahhh... my mascot wallpaper says coming the 17th, my Rhino perpay says 16th.... I CAN'T WAIT!!!!

I've seen a couple of movies, and from what I've seen, instead of just tackling a RB/WR/QB etc..the defensive player would just push the ballcarrier out of bounds. The animations looks sic!

after a while its gonne get old. Theres only one animation for the push out of bounds and its not a push the defender dives at the runner and and hits him out of bounds. It looks very repetitive

Actually from what I saw, it didn't even look like the defender dove, he was fairly close to the ballcarrier and just pushed him outta bounds.
