only if the CPU activates it themselves, and that is only when they have the lead late in the game. when you turn on Chew clock, it is only on for you.

Yes, it was in the main game menus and it was awesome. It used to be in the last gen Maddens, but in Madden 10, they put it back in and gave you the option to have it run off 10, 15, 20, or 25 seconds. I got a great number of plays with 15 minute quarters and 20 sec runoff. It added a lot to the game for me, and really helped you have ball-control offense if that's what you want to do. Adds a lot of realism.

Couldn't you just have an extra controller and turn chew clock on, then switch back to the middle? Or if you have a plug and play, let it stay on that team and you only call Corso plays without looking.

I don't know

I don't know
You could but it really shouldn't be necessary.

Comparing the two isn't a one or the other feature, you could have both in the game at the same time.

Chew clock is an offensive strategy used to control the pace of your offense whereas accellerated clock is a way for people who crave realistic stats to get what they want (it also to a degree evens out the time between breaking the huddle and the snap between the human and cpu teams).

Since EA brought back the accelerated clock in Madden I have been playing 15 min quarters and it is awesome. There really is no reason not to have it in the game and you can still keep chew clock in.

I don't know if that was directed at me or not, but I know what both features are and what purpose they serve.

Only the first line was.

The rest was a general comment.

Perfectly agree with you, we need a real accelerated clock like Madden, because it's the only way to play 15 minutes and get a realistic numbers of plays per quarter. In essence it emulates the time spent in a huddle, every football simulation should incorporate it. And please EA fix the play clock that starts at 40 and cuts at 25!

Agreed on the accelerated clock. It works perfectly for Madden and would be great to see in NCAA.
