What defense are you most looking forward to using in NCAA 11?

With all this talk on 120 different offensive style and such, I thought we should shift the discussion to the other side of the ball. That being said, what defense are you most looking forward to using this year?

For me, its the UNC Tar Heels. Reason being:

1. Exceptionally athletic linebacker corps: Bruce Carter, Quan Sturdivant, and Zach Brown. All three are extremely rangey and experienced, with Brown running a sub 4.3 40. Easily the most athletic linebacking group in the country.

2. Despite losing Cam Thomas and EJ Wilson, still some dominant DLineman. Marvin Austin (DT) and Robert Quinn (DE) are both projected 1st rounders.

3. A blend of athletic youth and playmaking veterans in the secondary. Deunta Williams and Kendric Burney anchor this unit.


Mcshay (whatever he knows ) has 4 UNC defenses players going in the 1st round of his 2011 mock draft. Needless to say, they should be a real force in NCAA 11.

Well, mine is not an actual team but a type of defense. I hope i will be able to run a true 3-4 defense this year since they are implementing double team blocking. I will be nice to recruit a 320+ lb. NT with lots of strength and 2 huge defense of ends weighing 270= lbs. I will probably just convert some DT's to end so they can keep those olinemen off my LB's. Hopefully the cpu will actually have somewhat of a run game. I'm always #1 against the run and in the 100's versus the pass. I hope the pass defense gets some luv.

I know it doesn't. All the talk has been offense, offense offense. That's why I wanted to shift the discussion to the other side of the ball for a change of pace.

And yes, I'm cautiously optimistic defense will matter this year with improve line interaction and locomotion. Locomotion will limit the amount of big plays (particularly on runs) because it'll be easier to slow runners down.

Nebraska. Despite losing Suh, we still have a lot of returning talent on defense that a lot of people are overlooking.

Non-homer pick: Alabama. It'd be fun to try to recreate their success last year, plus I like running the 3-4.
