I don't follow college football either (cept for tebow) but I had the game back in 09. It was a good holdover until Madden.

I'm getting the game this year, it looks really exciting.

Also.

The BCS sucks. The NCAA sucks. And all colleges are corrupt. They give like 10 academic scholarships and 100 sports scholarships. Totally unfair -- for me anyway.

As far as off the field stuff, there is recruiting and redshirting. Redshirting is when you choose a player and he sits out the season but still gets experience. So if I choose to redshirt my 75 overall Freshman HB, the next year he might come back as a 79 overall Freshman HB. It is pretty useful, but you have to remember you can only redshirt a player once in his college career, and you can redshirt as many players as you want per year. I recommend redshirting as many freshman as you can.

Like it was said before, the major difference is recruiting. If you're thinking about starting a dynasty, I'd think about going with Alabama. They run a pro style offense, similar to what teams in the pros play. They'll also be good and have a high prestige which will make getting used to recruiting easier.

I don't really know the College Game either and I think this year I will be picking up this game - it looks pretty exciting and I do love the recruiting aspect of College Games as I've sunk a LOT of time into NCAA Basketball.

There's a lot of potential in this year's game it looks like and I hope it pans out and I won't have any regrets about getting the game and enjoying the heck out of it.

Honestly, if you have never played NCAA football before, it should be a blast for you. Most of us have been playing the game since it first came out so it has become a bit stale, especially the Commentary. Since you have never heard the Commentary before, it will probably be the best you have ever heard in a video game.
