Excel... Isn't it way past time??

I'm not sure how you guys keep track of your dynasties, but isn't some sort of export to file (Excel) long over due in EA sports games?

I'm being serious here... how exactly do you guys keep track of players coming and going? Do you do all of your "work" in front of the TV? I hate that. I want it in file format to peruse in my office chair and/or have the ability to print out and take with me to the throne for further analysis.

Are you guys writing all this stuff down in notebooks to accomodate this need (Well, I find it to be a necessity)?

I'm still keeping out hope that the big OD news they have is some way to follow dynasties online. For normal online games, they already have it set up so that you can have your stats emailed to you. This should be taken a step further by just uploading the stats and recruits, etc to a web page.

To answer your question, avid absolutely f*cking rocks for keeping track of dynasties! Check out my OD here.

You can look at all of my games, the stats from them all, all conference winners, beginning and final polls (only because those are the only 2 I entered. You can do it every week if you want). You can see everyone's stats, every recruit I've signed, etc, etc. Here are some of the reports from that OD:

Very nice, but how do you get the stats into Avid?

Re: Excel... Isn't it way past time??

You enter them by hand. It takes me 15 minutes to enter a game's stats so this adds 25% to the length of each game, but with no automated option, this is the next best thing.

Jello1717, I thank you! This is just the thing I was looking for.
Last year I just made a website, but this looks a lot more professional and easier to manage.

Re: Excel... Isn't it way past time??

It would be the greatest addition to football gaming since screenshots were added a couple years ago if we could export our stats online, then put those numbers into Excel or something.

It takes me 10-15 minutes after a game to do stats. I CANNOT play a dynasty without tracking my stats. At least in next-gen, the box scores get saved so you're not obligated to take them down immediately after the games, but you have to write them down eventually.

I'd mess my pants (in a good way) if something like this was added. I have a sneaky suspicion it might be. Just a hunch from the reaction I got from someone in the know on a similar post on a different forum.
