This is sweet news.Whenever Id switch to NCAA from Madden it would always take me awhile to get used to the speed.

But will that slider work for online matchups? Has the default speed been changed for ranked online games? Because I'll bet the slider works for online but online in non-ranked games.

you kidding me? the speed was fine. we just need a slider so we don't have people saying this...

I think you're all wrong: The main problem with NCAA 10 is that there was no real acceleration curve. Players were moving full speed pretty much all the time.

It's not about the flat-out gameplay speed; it's about the acceleration/deceleration/momentum and the nuances in between.

The new locomotion engine might fix this. We'll have an idea come Monday.

Strummer you nailed it I think...the problem with the speed is everyone starts the play ultra-fast. If they started the play at a normal speed and then it eventually got that fast it'd be OK IMO...

Here's a quote straight from their live chat on locomotion:

"The players actually have higher top speeds this year than last year (based on real life data). It takes them longer to get to those top speeds however so you really only see guys hit 100% speed after 30 to 50 yards (based on their acceleration ratings) I think the game feels very similar speed wise, just not twitchy. We've added a game speed slider so that you can tune it to your liking however."
