There really is no need for the crowd to chant Defense on 3rd downs and it actually sounds horrible. When do you ever hear that chanted at football games anyway.

I hear that alot at UGA games, watching games. It doesn't happen every 3rd down, more like every 4th and going for it, big 3rd downs, etc.

Yeah you may hear it from time to time i just don't think it sounds good at all. Again a small thing that won't matter that much just wishful thinking.

I don't know whose games you are going to, but at wvu games this is a very common chant.

its fine they really dont have they crowd noise meter any more for big downs so the defense chant is fine.

All the games I've been to at Jordan-Hare, it just gets loud. Screw anything resembling "words," just give me straight up noise. That'd be my choice.
