I don't think it's cheese. I play with it off though. I use the free safety on defense and don't trust the auto-strafe feature.

I play with it off because I'm used to holding L2 all the time from playing NHL 10, but I never considered having it on to be cheese.

I don't use it, but I don't see how its cheese. It almost hurts you when covering, My player will keep backpedaling when I want to turn my hips and go with the receiver. Its like calling auto sprint cheese because it sprints for you and you don't have to hold the trigger to hit full speed.

Same.. Not cheesing IMO.
I play with it off also for control preference...

No way is it cheese. I think it hurts on pass plays big time. The linebackers won't get out of their strafing animation with crossing routes and thus can't keep up. On tackles it doesn't guarantee anything because I still spring right past guys from time to time and look like a fool as they bust a big run.

I don't think it's cheese. When you are actually playing football it's just instinct and common sense to square up. Strafing does slow you down so there is a penalty.

Besides, the L2 button doesn't even seem to work for me in the demo. I don't think the auto strafe does anything at all.

I was about to say the same thing. I find myself turning it off every game anyways. I feel like it hangs me up more than anything.

Re: Auto Strafe On...Cheese?

I have never used strafe in my life honestly...Never saw any type of benefit from it...Never had issues tackling IMHO.

OFF i guess....Irrelevant to me.
