Spring Game?

a spring game would be cool for realism's sake, but in practical terms, i dont see what the use of it would be. it's like preseason in madden. it's great that it's there... but why spend the time playing the games? you don't get ANYthing out of them in madden...

likewise, unless they could turn it into a significant part of the game, im fine with them leaving it out.

I get something out of the Spring game. It helps me decide who I should start in my position battles. Same thing with preseason in Madden.

The 'significance' of the missing items/features in the modes are as significant as you make them. In my case, the spring game is very important to my dynasties.

but can't you just look at the ratings and know who you're going to give the most playing time to?

They have to because the NCAA is adding another team for 2011. The University of South Alabama has a football program, and it will be joining the Conference USA

I want spring practices and a spring game. Give us mini game drills and choose a player or two for each one and try and get them a ratings boost. Then in the spring have a bump for the winning. Only 1 or 2 points max.

And i would love to see the 85 player max for rosters but thats another 1275 players to add to the game. thats a lot of players for full rosters that would be 10,200 players. I know they can do that now. Cause FIFA 10 has over 13,000 players in it. So i would love for all scholarship players to be in at the least.

These features have a way of making their debut either the final version of a game or when the next gen consoles come out. Gotta give you a reason to keeping buying year after year.

I would love to see a spring game that actually mattered. It could result in a small awareness boost for most players, and maybe even a small bonus boost in a few position-specific ratings for players that have great games. This along with just seeing the upcoming year's team for the first time, and like a previous poster said, helping you to decide who should start, would make this a valuable addition to the game.
