Question Quarter Length

Sorry if this has been asked - what Quarter length are most going with? I'm guessing 8 or 9 minute? Thanks.

Re: Quarter Length

I played 7 mins and I almost think that 8 would be about perfect.

Re: Quarter Length

I have used anywhere from 5 to 7 minutes, most seasons I will play through with 6 minute quarters just so the game doesn't take too long.

Re: Quarter Length

After studying the "accelerated clock" in the demo and the pace of the game, I have come to believe that 8 minutes is about what I want to go. This should net anywhere between 118 to 140 plays depending on the offensive style of the opponent.

I am at work right now but when I get the game in a little while, 8 minutes is going to be my starting point. I will probably play a good 4 or 5 exibition games prior to starting my dynasty like I always do just to test out the quarter length and also penalty sliders.

Re: Quarter Length

It seems you have to set you game time based on 2 teams that don't run the no-huddle to get the time right. If you go based on 2 no-huddle teams playing, it's screws up the stats on teams that don't do no-huddle.

Re: Quarter Length

I played a season already (got the game Friday). I did 7 minutes (actually 6) the first two games. I think I will do eight next season. It looks like from what I have seen 8 should yield a decent play count.
