Locomotion, Lord help me please lol

Guys Im not the best at football games but geezz this locomotion thing is kind of tough for me. Do yall have any suggestions? I mean defenders tackle well but come on E.A. nobody makes all their tackles lol.

I feel like they are missing to many tackles in most game. Maybe its just who I am playing against/with?

That should help you out on the offensive end. Keep in mind the team you playing as and who you playing against matters too.

Man idk, all I know is that I need help gettin it down. Im sure its easy for others but for me. Idk guess its just tough.

I think the main issue most people have is that they engage the sticks too late, or not continuously...

Locomotion has you player shift his weight and juke, spin, charge, prior to impact with the defensive player... so that it will counteract the effects of the initial tackle...

also, even when you have made contact with the defender after already making your first juke move... you should be looking for a way to shed the defender with the stick/buttons as well...

just be sure that your movement of the stick is relative to how a person would actually move to escape a tackler, (ie, if the defender has a hold of your left side.... move the stick to the right to try to pull away)

be sure to take advantage of your players strengths. If you are running with a bus on 2 legs be sure to truck forward as ofter as possible, and with an agile back use hard jukes and short half circle movements to slip pass the would be tackler.

also,

try playing on slow or very slow until you get used to the sticks...
this will allow you to read the tackle and improve on you evasive or trucking maneuvers.

Locomotion has an effect on many things in the game. It has no effect on tackles though beyond getting into position to make one.
